Tengku Razaleigh will be Leader of the Opposition!

General Assembly Passes Ulama, Datuk Harun Taib did not deny the possibility of Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah will hold the opposition leader, replacing Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He felt if  Tengku Razaleigh had influence as well as many followers as well as a majority support, it is possible Tengku Razaleigh or Ku Li will be driving the opposition after this.

Aaron said, however, all parties in the opposition will first examine the performance of Tengku Razaleigh before ensuring that the former Semangat 46 president is entitled to hold office, if the situation warrants.

"We will look first in terms of his performance (Ku Li), if he had a large following, or majority support among the opposition parties, most likely he would be Leader of the Opposition.

"Similarly, Anwar, he can negotiate and if not can the majority of fans, maybe he (Anwar) will not be sitting there again (and head of the Opposition)," he told The Star here yesterday.

He was asked to comment on allegations about the invitation of the opposition to Tengku Razaleigh to hold office if the Leader of the Opposition in preparation for the adviser to Anwar's Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is guilty of sodomy.

Aaron, the former Terengganu PAS Commissioner went on to say, all leaders, including Anwar does not hold a position for a long time, but should give way to others.

"He will not ever be Leader of the Opposition, if someone else has the majority support the opposition, he would be on the head of," he said.

Asked whether Tengku Razaleigh invited to hold office after opposition leader Anwar considered a liability to the opposition, including the moral problems he faced, Aaron explains: "It was not a factor.-utusan
