As a measure to protect people's health and reduce the various complications of diseases of the fat content in food, Denmark today became the first country in the world to impose taxes on products containing fat.

The action has caused many consumers to take steps to keep items such as butter, pizza, meats, and milk to avoid side effects.

According to Soeren Joergensen from Arla Distribution said that several thousand tonnes of butter and margarine have been kept to enable them to supply to shops.

The new tax imposed by Denmark is a measure to limit the population in the intake of fatty foods.
