broadband performance Descending

Executive Director of Communications and Multimedia Consumer Forum of Malaysia (CFM), Azizan Mohamad Afandi said he received 683kelajuan complaints about broadband services in 2009, which rose to 872 last year.

Broadband penetration in the country is increasing, but its performance is considered collapsed on the increase of consumer complaints for the past two years.

"The number of complaints about broadband service is the highest of all types of complaints we received," he said.

He said most of the complaints related to services that do not meet customer's requirement and coverage is not widespread.
"Normally, after receiving a complaint, we will notify the service provider to obtain a win-win solution," he said.
